Adele Williams is a studio potter and teacher, based at Clay Collective Adele makes work as Hackney Potter, and teaches regular ceramic workshops across London.

With a background in fine art and a love for making Adele started working seriously with clay during 2014. Drawn in by a love for materials she has developed a practice that produces functional ware with an experimental approach. Whether digging clay to make clay bodies and slips, creating ashes for glazing or experimenting with firing techniques. Her work follows a desire to experiment and understand.

Adele has been teaching handbuilding and wheel throwing since 2015. She currently teaches at Clay Time and leads the ceramics department at the Art Academy. Adele has also taught regularly for Jess Jos and Jo Davies and completed a teaching residency with Salemi Ceramics in Sicily. She is passionate about helping students master essential skills as a foundation for expanding their abilities, creating work that is both beautiful and functional.
